MSN Motoring takes on Volvo’s prettiest model yet, the V60, and sees if the bigger price tag of the T5 is worth overlooking the more affordable T4.
"Cheaper" has to be one of the most marketable or sellable words in the history of mankind. That you could buy something of similar quality for less money, at the cost of minor sacrifices, makes for an irresistible bargaining phrase.
Having reviewed almost all that Volvo has to offer at the time of writing, taking on the V60 T5 wasn't completely surprising to us. We knew the equipment was brilliant. All that we loved from the previous models we've tested were there; Adaptive Cruise Control, BLIS, Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection and all the littler new niggles like the Ready Alert Brake, Park Assist, Rear/ Front View Cameras; All brilliant.
So what about the new V60 could we put to the test, that would tell you something you probably don't already know from our previous reviews?
Aha... What about, if or not the extra money spent on a T5 is worth the cash you'd otherwise save on a T4?
Then we figured that, while we're at the business of comparisons, why not take all the cool extras that Volvo have to offer, and see if they're worth the extra dollars coughed up too?
And so we did...
