Le Mans Classic: vintage cars take to the track
The Le Mans Classic is celebrating ten years of existence with this edition. A total of 450 vintage vehicles that have participated in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, spread across six grids representing 1923-1979, will successively take to the track. This gathering, which takes place every two years, runs July 6-8 at the 24 Hours circuit in France.

The idea of the Le Mans Classic is one that Patrick Peter has been nurturing for ten years. The concept is one of audacious proportions: to host all the cars that took part in Le Mans races since the 1940s -- and even before World War II -- on the same iconic French racing circuit.
The sixth edition takes place this weekend, with more than 300 vehicles getting their turn on the track in front of over 100,000 visitors. The organizer provides a preview of the event.
