Ford opens new full-service facility in Sibu

Ford Motor Company, through its partner, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion, today announced the opening of a new, top-of-the-line 3S Centre in Sibu. The facility includes a showroom, sales, service and spare parts departments.
Operated by Sibu Ngu Brothers Motor Service Sdn Bhd (Sibu Ngu), this new 3S Centre on Jalan Salim is a strategic relocation from the previous 3S facility on Jalan Lanang. Sibu Ngu is one of four Ford dealerships located in Sarawak.
The upgraded facility showcases the recently launched all-new Ford Focus, as well as the completely redesigned all-new Ford Ranger and ever-popular Ford Focus.
“We see a bright future for Ford in Malaysia as we continue to enhance customer service offerings and roll out a series of all-new, smart, fuel-efficient products,” said David Westerman, regional manager, Asia Pacific, Ford Export & Growth Operations. “Sibu plays a key role in this future as an important market with an ever-increasing demand for 4x4 trucks – a segment that Ford excels in, especially with the all-new Ranger.”
Westerman continued: “We are pleased that Sibu Ngu has decided to invest further in Ford with this expansion. It is a demonstration of our shared vision and the success the dealership has achieved in this market.”
The Sibu Ngu dealership achieved a significant milestone in 2011 with a 74 percent increase in sales. When combined with their Bintulu facility, they commanded a 40 percent share of total sales for Ford in Sarawak.
The new 3S Centre has a showroom that displays up to four vehicles, a well-equipped lounge with free Wi-Fi and other amenities that ensure comfort and satisfaction for customers. The adjacent service centre, which is open six days a week, has three service bays and houses the latest Ford diagnostic tools and technicians specially trained by Ford.
